Who uses Outright? Meet Shaun from First Rank Marketing

Successful businesses are often about the niche. They find a small hole and figure out a way to plug it with a great idea.
In his previous jobs, Shaun saw that the companies he was working for were neglecting their online presence. Sure, they may have had a Facebook page or some rudimentary website, but they weren’t really embracing the Internet culture. As a result, they weren’t living to their full potential. Thus, First Rank Marketing was born.
“I saw a major opportunity to help these businesses with all aspects of their online presence and decided to jump in head first,” Shaun says. “It can be difficult for some small businesses to break out of their comfort zone and change their strategy after establishing a routine over the years.  We do our best to educate, implement, test, and tweak our clients’ campaigns for optimal performance in all facets of their online presence.
Branching out on your own, though, is never as simple as it seems on paper. Shaun had a great idea but was a little unsure how to cope with handling all the bookkeeping. Between all the campaigns he was running there was just no time to worry about finances.
Luckily, word of mouth led him towards Outright. Initially thinking it was too good to be true, he quickly found out why we’re a great choice for business owners trying to keep their financials in order. With that out of the way, Shaun was free to handle the real meat of his operation.
“I think the biggest mistake I have made so far has been taking on too much at once and not setting up proper systems,” Shaun says.  At the end of the day, I have realized my best work comes from focus and concentration on one important task at a time and delegating menial tasks.”
A successful business isn’t just about the niche, though. It takes a lot of effort, ingenuity, and often a bit of luck to really make it all work. So what’s Shaun’s advice?
“Don’t be afraid to fail often,” he says. “You’ll fail your way to success and learn more through experience then by reading a book.  Also, an Internet marketing company has a massive advantage being that we are not bound by geographic barriers.”
And one more thing:
“Oh, a buy a Keurig coffee maker.”
Sounds like Shaun knows what it’s all about – diversifying and growing with your business, not against it. If you’re thinking of breaking out on your way, take his advice and learn to succeed by learning to fail gracefully.
Do you use Outright? What’s your business story?
